Teleseminar Replay

A conceptual look at confidence, poise, assurance, cool.

Step One

  • Show up – go everywhere, meet everyone, network and keep track of who they are, learn their names and REMEMBER them.

Step Two

  • Confidence and Charisma is 50% of the business. Get some. Knowing how to speak about what you got is essential. Interviewing is part of the process.

Step Three

  • Know what you are “selling” besides your talent. Know what YOU uniquely offer the show business marketplace that NO ONE else does.

Step Four

  • Create attractive, appealing marketing materials. Headshots, postcards, business cards, website, demos, etc. Don’t scrimp here. Invest money in the best.

Step Five

  • Build and write your resume with identifiable projects, associations with production companies, theaters, casting directors, teachers and other people, so that the reader (in this case, agent) gets a sense of the “level” you are playing at.

Step Six

  • Research the agencies that would be a pro-fit for you and your abilities by studying THEM, who they represent, learn the individual agents names.

Step Seven

  • Begin a marketing campaign via hard copy, willing e-mail recipients, (no mass mailings) and workshops/networking to select agents who you have identified as receptive.

Step Eight

  • Follow up constantly and consistently with all of your contacts giving information about your “business” as an actor and continually educate the rest of the marketplace about what you are DOING.
